natural soy wax is a vegetable wax derived from soybean oil and is primarily used in candles. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, and flaked. From these flakes, the oil is extracted and then hydrogenated. Hydrogenation is the process of converting some of the fatty acids from unsaturated to saturated, which raises the oil's melting point to a point where it is solid at room temperature. The end result is pure soy wax.

Uses: Soft, greasy wax used in candles for containers, jars, ceramics, wood

Pure soy wax melts between 49 and 60 degrees Celsius (120-140 degrees Fahrenheit).

The ideal temperature for adding fragrance to candles is between 65°C and 75°C.

 Adding fragrance at a higher temperature may cause the essential oil to evaporate and the candle to lose its scent.
